A/C Compressor-Where to buy.
I'll be replacing my A/C compressor myself.
So, who has the best prices? It's a 1986 York, but will go with the Sanden. Thanks in advance. Gerry

I purchased this kit several years ago to replace my York compressor. The upgrade has served me well.

I replaced my old York compressor with a Diesel Kiki I pulled of a Isuzu Rodeo at a local Pull a Part for $25.
I fabricated a mounting bracket and had to modify the hose fittings. It worked fine. Didn't have sub zero temperatures but was better than the old York and I'm still using the old hoses. Currently it is not installed since I just put the engine back in my car after doing some maintenance to fix oil leaks and replacing the intake rubbers and all hoses. I will be re-installing it in a couple of weeks. If you are a do it yourself-er and have the equipment and just want to replace the York then this is a cheaper option. $150-$200 on amazon for the 508 in various configurations. The Sanden is relabeled and rebadged by everyone, you can probably get one down the street right now.

Considering this myself but have a question...I see the 507s everywhere but noticed a couple that state they have R12 oil and need to be changed if using R134 but I assume they have a TXV set up for R12, should that be changed? How is a R12 TXV different from R134 TXV?
