MFI cold start squirter hose replacement, help needed

Replacing my MFI cold start squirter hoses and need know if I can just pull the fittings out of the manifold to replace the hoses. I feel some movement in the fittings but not sure if they will come out and if they do, will they go back in and be properly sealed.
Also having a hard time finding 3/16"/4.5mm hose clamps. Only thing other than ear clip clamps is these snapper clamps which are plastic. Has anyone tried these?

Don't touch the fittings.

A slight rotation back and fourth while pulling should bring the fittings out of the manifold.

Usually they are not hard to pull out. But be gentle! These things are old and generally very brittle. If you break one, I don't know where you will find a replacement.

I bought some great fuel proof tubing from McMaster-Carr a while back.....I could look it up if you want.

So if the fitting comes out, how does it get a good seal when it's put back into the stacks?

I put a little black RTV silicone around fitting.

Those are Oettinger clamps. Just replace them with the new braided hose. If you google Oettinger you can find who sells the special pliers and clamps. Be very careful when removing not to break the plastic stacks.

They don't need to be sealed, since they are above the throttle plate. Doubtful any air would be drawn in anyway, but if it was there would be no effect. Maybe a dab of Dow silicone grease would be nice, but nothing else.

The braided cloth covered hose is availabel, but you have to do some looking around. Try VW sites. And again, be careful. These old plastic nozzles are fragile.

Those are fuel hoses, so they need to be sealed if you don't want fuel dribbling out with bad consequences.

Pretty sure they are Oetiker clamps, but Google's so good it probably doesn't matter...
