Best process for removing the Carpet fuzz/glue from Interior

Hi Guys
I am in the process of cleaning the Interior up for to receive a coat of paint when the entire car gets painted.
I am going for the 964 RS/NGT Club Sport look for the interior.. what is the materials and process to strip the carpet fuzz and Glue from the inside? I have heard 3M adhesive remover is good.. what is the best way to use this to remove the glue? a scraper? or something else?

Thanks for any and all input on this process..

-Eric

Try white camping fuel. Works well to loosen adhesive.

I used adhesive remover. Worked well on the adhesive the factory used.

I used Goof Off Pro and a green kitchen scotchbrite, plus a razor blade or 3 and in a couple places, pieces of wood shaped to fit. It worked really well. You will use a lot of Goof Off though.
Goof Off Pro on Amazon

I painted the goof off on in about a 1-square foot are at a time. Let it si8t a few mionutes, then scotchbrited it ( I used 4 scotchbrite pads total) until the solvent was gone. If the area needed it I repeated, and if there were stubborn spots I used the razor blades/wood. The toughest areas to do were the rear seats.

Subscribing because I may end up doing a bit of this, although for the most part the original paint is good so I may just glue my new carpets on top.

+1. That stuff works miracles. Just spread, let it sit for a few hours, and then scrape.

This is an opportunistic plug as well. I bought some Citristrip to do the exact thing on my car in preparation to install an RS carpet kit but ended up taking my car to a shop and they did it for me so didn't need them. I have them for sale on Ebay: 1 Quart Citristrip Gel Stripper 5 Bottles | eBay
