I like! I see you used the 964 "thin smile" also, looks great! I am also considering the glacier white....here is one next to GPW.

I think that's gonna be it! I cant get away from it. Found this guy who had a white SL55 wide body and he went through the same thing. Finally decided on Voodoo and I think the pictures tell the story. I just see it being a great color on my old wide body girl! He mentioned in his build thread that in person the color was amazingly deep and that it changes allot in different lighting. Heck, some of the pictures I have seen, it really looks like Mexico blue to me. I think I'm gonna do it! YOLO

I think you're making the right decision!! That Merc looks crazy cool. I think it will look better on the 911. I saw a voodoo blue GT3 RS at cars and coffee and it was a great color! It was overcast that day so I didn't get a chance to view it in direct sun.

So I went Porsche Broward Miami yesterday to see Voodoo blue in person just to make sure its what I want. Its very dark and very bright compared to what I was thinking.
I must say that another blue grabbed me more then the Voodoo and that is MIAMI blue! Miami blue in the flesh is incredible! They had 2 inside and 1 outside so I could really get the full effect. Its very difficult to get the color to come through on a iPhone. I found the below picture online and this is how it looked to me in person. Its a solid color with no metal flake in it. If I decide to change colors, Miami blue may be it. The girl I was with said the Miami blue has a more vintage look to it then does the voodoo blue. I think she's right. Who knows, we shall see. Voodoo ![]() Miami

My favorite blue is 6603 Golf Blau from the early 911 catalog. I think it gives a similar effect to the Voodoo but it's a real Porsche color.

Got some adhesive heat tape for the inside of the rear bumper. Hoping to protect the fresh paint. It does have a stainless m and k muffler, so im hoping it doesnt get to hot to begin with.

If you get caught wandering around Miami with a constant 3-day gristle on your face, wearing linen suits with pastel t-shirts over flipflops, then I guess it's your own fault

Good look at a couple paint to sample colors. I went to this dealership when I chose my color. I was dead set on Voodoo, but then I saw Miami blue in person and that was it. The color is amazing!
MIAMI BABY!!

Trust me when I tell you its been very trying at times and I have had to be very patient which isn't one of my strong qualities. LOL, oh well that's what its all about right! Anyway, we are going to weld an extra cross bar to the roll bar and also going to gusset the "X" pattern in the rear of the cage. Cage will also be painted Miami blue to match the body. Here is the mock up.

Man oh man, ready to drive this car. Roll bar is now reinforced and back in DP ready for paint. Rear bumper had to be played with since we added the 1" back to the drivers side rear fender flare. Remember when we measured that flare, it had been put on wrong and sucked in 1". So now that's all corrected and the bumper has been corrected also. The rear Rennline tow hook sat funny and off center in the rear bumper, so we cut a new hole and centered it in the middle portion of the bumper. You can see the old placement was up a bit.
Stock store bought roll bar ![]() Modified and strengthened a bit....ready for Miami blue paint ![]() Rear tow hook placement, just need to fill the old cut out and get the bumper prepped ![]() Rear panel and both rear butt welded fenders now in final primer and ready for sanding and paint
