Not what my bank account thinks...LOL.

Anyway, got a new replacement wheel from Fikse. My old one was a taco. Took some pics while the wheel was off.

I LOVE WHEN I GET A TEXT FROM MIKE BRUNS! SmileWavy

checking the GT3 oil pump fit and the backlash on the intermediate shaft to crank gears, machined the piston oil squirter holes and they are ready to install after the final cleaning on the case.

Switched to the classic lenses today. May go back to no letters on the tires and just go the classic route...

One classic lense and one bug eye for comparison

Nope car didn't sell. I threw it out there after the initial build to see if I could sell it and perhaps build another twin. Didn't work so just kept it and now going to just enjoy it. The engine in this car is going to be a monster.

The heads are back from Bill at Xtreme Cylinder Heads. These are factory SC heads from my motor.

From Mike Bruns regarding what has been done to the heads:

Larger ports with proper shape and larger valves along with a precision valve angle and seat angles to help flow in and out.Working together all this improves the ability to make power.
With CNC porting everything is exactly the same where before being done by hand was very time consuming and close but not perfect, even the valve job is done with CNC machines

You also have twin plug using 12mm threads to reduce the chamber volume increase (which effects compression ratio) look at the picture of the original plug hole vs the new hole, we also reduced the valve stem size from 9mm to 8mm to reduce weight and increase air flow, the injector notch was welded up before the port work too.

Can't say enough good things about Mike Bruns. He helped me build my 3.0L Twin Plug to bullet proof standards. With Paul Abbotts's help with my weber's it's more fun than you can imagine. Of course the car is the other half. Lot's of tweeking over the years and it's 9:1 power to weight. But I can say the engine is half the car. You want reliability, and you want something that has some low end torque but still high end horsepower, which my cam grinder built for me. You don't want something you have to turn 5500+ to feel that push into the seat back, but still you want that push to last a little before you have to shift.

Ok running off at the mouth. Happy Holidays to all including Mike Bruns and Paul Abbott.
