perfect! |
Just got back from 2 hour shakedown drive. No gauge lights currently. HIDs rock, but may have caused gauge outages but they do work, just don't light up. Car tracks straight and is nimble. Feels very light. Still shaking from just being nervous but got her opened up later in the eve. She runs out good. Will report more soon. Need some sleep and tomorrow jump on the gauges, just a minor hick up Im sure. The kids love it! Got mobbed at the gas station by about 8 teens, 1 had an old bug, so he loved it. Oh and the comment I got the most from my buddies is, "It doesn't look anything like the color in the pictures" I been telling everybody that the images mean nothing. Its so bright and vibrant and aqua in real life. I love it! Very happy!

I dont follow a lot of threads, but i have followed this one for some time, even as my time on this forum has dropped. Congratulations!
It took a while, but you went all in so the payoff must be great. I saw that color in the flesh on a new 4s... and i second that it looks awesome. Enjoy and post more photos! |

Holy crap. I've completely missed this thread. Car is unbelievable. Congrats. I still owe you photos of the car prior to your transformation. Well done!
|
Holy Crap, indeed! Just stunning, nothing else to say.

It turned out so well! Perfect blend of modern and period correct. I planned to do those bumpers and duck on our build, but still wasn't sure to go wider fenders or not. Gotta say I have to do it. Looks soo good!
|
Just found this thread and read it in one sitting. I must say.....you're freakin' NUTS!!.......but in a good way! Nice line of cars, and one outrageous, beautiful build. Congrats, this ride kicks @ss!
Btw, when you sell it in a few months, I call dibs. |
Looks good Nippy - hopefully getting some miles on her before it gets to Florida Hell hot

Got a couple good pics yesterday, was a nice cool clear day here in Florida, great day for a ride! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1491758517.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1491758517.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1491758517.JPG |

Really looks great! Your stance is perfection!

Got a Seibon carbon fiber hood/duck tail prop. Fully adjustable w/lock out and only weighs 148 grams. Ebay special, LOL. I like it! We have no OEM shock props on either of the lids on the car to keep the weight down, so it comes in handy.

what front bumper smile did you go with in the end? I am pretty sure I asked this three times (and forgot the reply). I remember you starting with stoddart (964), but not being happy. I went that route and was not enthused. I ended up just skipping the smile.
