A little tribute to the man himself. Mike has been awesome to work with and is truly a treasure in the Porsche and engine building world! This is a badge of honor and respect!

Its aluminum, not a sticker. Has 3M heat resistant tape on back.

DYNO TIME

Mike has his race headers on it and straight out the back for base line power on the dyno. 50MM PMO no filters or hats. Then it goes to the Gt3 cup muffler. Then my headers and a m&K, then the dynomax mufflers. The I think he changes to 46MM PMOs and repeats the exhaust changes.

first pull unrestricted exhaust 50MM PMOs 376HP 297 Tq.

2nd pull HOLY ***** 381HP 303Tq.

Just warming it up..

Oh man, I want that GT3 muffler (if you're listening Mike :-)). That will mate right up to my headers w/v bands.

Now the William Knight suggestion. This is a $120 dynomax stainless you can buy from Summit. Just need to fabricate a bit to make work. William swore it did just as good as the $2K GT3 mufflers. So we figured what the heck, at that price lets try it.

Here ya go...its a KEEPER! Not much loss at all! Down 9HP and 6TQ from the best #s up above using the racing and GT3 parts!

This is now running my stainless S-Cargo reproduction headers (also from William Knight) and his suggested dynomax muffler. Part # for muffler is 17231 for those interested.

BIG SHOUT OUT TO WILLIAM KNIGHT FOR THIS INFO!

What is the model number of the muffler and do you have a video of the sound?

I wanted to make a point here in the test. First excellent work by Mike and secondly I would have loved to see a comparison between my muffler design and the cup muffler on DB sound number and HP & TQ on the same test Headers, The final headers are excellent for the money (I sell them) but the test headers look like real Burns Merge collectors.. Again it is close and I greatly appreciate Mike for doing the test. I am also happy to see this motor go into a beautiful car. Thumbs up GREAT WORK.

Here ya go with 46MM PMO and William Knight headers/exhaust. The 46s choke the power down a bit. So we will be using 50s.

Thanks William for your input and time spent on the phone with me. Another top notch Porsche and engine building information treasure here on the forums! Cant wait to get it in the car. Cheers! Im off to the Rolex 24 now as we speak! Have a great weekend everybody!

PS I think I'm going to need to beef up the stock 915 tranny with that kind of power and torque!

We had a great test day and I know that Chris is glad to see life back in his engine, its a great combination and should torture his 915 and his rear tires. William I plan on fabricating some pipes to feed the dynomax muff with our headers for the next time I put the 3.8 on the pump and compare it to the GT3 muff

Thanks Mike looks like great work and I am happy the client got you. If anyone in the future needs an exhaust I have plenty in stock, I have spent years to come up with that combination. I look forward to see how it does on a back to back comparison. Very nice work. William Knight

Hey now don't leave the audience wondering who killed the gardener (M&K muffler) in the library with the candlestick holder? Moviegoers want to know what the M&K dyno results are!

A few pictures from the Rolex. I didn't take many this year as my hands were full of beer.

Spotted this Voodoo blue, if you have been on this thread for a while, you will know this was the first color I was going to paint. Until I saw Miami in the flesh.
