Get another set of wheels. I had ordered Euromeisters twice and both times they were backordered then delayed another couple of months. The last time I did this, they had fronts in stock and shipped them right away. The rears took another 3-months to arrive so I was stuck with 1/2 a set of wheels for 3-months before I could use them. Thumbs down to Automotion...boooo!

Lot's of updates...

So I think I have decided to hold-off on the Euromeisters for now. My friend is fine with me borrowing his 993 rims for a while (until I do the backdate bodywork) so no need to spend money. I think I am going to do 9" Euromeister front and rear with the ST flares so worrying about the 7" seems stupid in the long-run. For now I am going to throw some cheap tires on the borrowed rims to keep things safe.

I have rebuilt all 4 calipers after some brake issues. I saw a few drips one day from the front passenger side but I figured it was from the new oil cooler. The next day there was a puddle... and no brakes! 4 rebuilt calipers and a new Master Cylinder and the brakes now feel great. I have stainless lines too which helps.

We cut open the exhaust finally and installed 2 stainless steel center outlets. We have not yet trimmed the tips as I don't know if I am going to use this muffler for the backdate or just temporary and it looks fine as-is. Pictures & Video coming soon.

Buddy at the shop offered to give me a nice parcel shelf cover to replace mine, which was the start of something incredibly surprising. We pulled the rear seats and parcel shelf upholstery to reveal a hidden stereo install. This may have been the best ghetto install ever! We honestly had no idea it was there and there have been a bunch of hardcore Porsche guys around the car... pictures say 1000 words. (below)

Lastly, and this is incredibly weird, but I was in a Hit & Run in the car. I was driving home (on my way to a meeting... was 30 minutes early) and in my rear mirror, I see a a 991 C2S Cab cutting off every car behind me. They fly up behind me, tailgate me, then fly up beside me and try to cut in, but there is no gap and they hit my front bumper. I locked up the brakes actually ended up in the opposite lanes of traffic. I catch up to the car at a red light where I honk and get their attention as they act like nothing happened, and I take pictures of their car & plates. They hold their phone out the window, then flip me off and drive away. I call LAPD and the cops show up. They have me email a few pictures I have of the car and issue a police report... what was that 991 thinking?! There is cosmetic damage but my car will live another day. I already have a call out to an attorney friend of mine... I will keep you guys updated.

Ended up doing the rear shocks as one of them was rattling. Going to do the fronts in a few weeks now that I know I need them.

Meeting with an attorney on Friday regarding the Hit & Run.

Just ordered some tires as I have bad flat-spots on these after the accident...

So...

Ended up doing Bilstein Sport Struts all around and some more general maintenance... then I blew the 915. We knew it wasn't happy but it got stuck in 2nd at a red light and that was it... teardown was BAD. Ring and Pinion are f*cked. Just ordered parts with my shop... starting the rebuild this weekend.

In better news... I am also going to the Pelican HQ on Saturday to pick up my Euromeister 17's. I should be shifting better and looking prettier at Luftgekult in a few weeks... Especially with my personalized plates I am picking up tomorrow.
