Not for me, but a friend showed me the link...based out of Sonoma CA.
Do I sense a rebirth of MM?

BEWARE: This is Rich Krieger. He lurks under any variety of names [business and personal] in the area. Depressing that he is still out there... but he is. For an education GOOGLE the phone number. Don't stop at the first page. You won't see much at first but then it starts revealing certain truths. Notice how the business name keeps changing? Too bad there isn't a quick and easy cross reference that will ferret out with common phone numbers/emails.

As they say-- RUN!

Thanks guys...you guys are the best

This one smelled a bit funny.
I deferred to the board to confirm my concerns.
My friends are from Europe. As difficult as it is for us here in the US to recover our $$ once we find out we have been scammed...it would be far more difficult from overseas.
Thanks guys!

I contacted to Rich guy and requested engine number. His reply was #6324848. In my understanding, '72 911s engine are #6320001 to #6322586. So there are definite issue here. I was going to go up to Sonoma from San Francisco with my mechanic but not dealing with him anymore.

Actually one of the best choices you can make in a sealant is Dow Corning 730 fluorosilicone. It is white, fairly expensive, and VERY good.

(Yeah, but run away from that engine...)

That white sealant..whatever it is..would draw frowns in the Porsche engine shop..cobby.

Use Porsche part number 000 043 010 00 NR-LOCTITE 574 sealant..never leaks..cleans up just fine

basically a lawn mower engine repair shop (A C = air cooled engines)

a'yup - he twice offered via telecons to buy 911 engines i had FS on CL - told great stories about his rare 911 project cars in various CA locations - no show at promised times, never any money, great stories about his Asian buyer contacts with buckets of cash, always a no-show excuse & then when i sold the engines elsewise, he berated me .

this is not to say he isn't a competent mechanic, at least as competent at overhauling (rebuilding) porsche engines as are many others on this forum who have undertaken such jobs in their own garages-

.
