Need heater hose part number, Pelican diagrams SUCK!

Need the hot air hose from the right side heat exchanger to blower motor.

I beleive its this hose. 911-211-522-01-M260

ID 60 length 1110mm

Was told by pelican staff that Porsche won't allow them to put a diagram online? This makes no sense.

Just go to the Porsche classic website and download the PET PDF file for your car. The diagrams wand part numbers are all in it.

Pelican did have fully interactive parts diagrams more than 10 years ago. I remember using it. But not for long.

Porsche legal shut that down big time.

So don't be a d***. 20 post into the experience

As noted. Calm down.

I will e-mail you what you need for future reference. I am not sure I can attach a file if I e-mail you via Pelican. You respond then I can link for sure. E-mailing you now.

If I do not then pester me through PM's. It's only because i forgot.

One of the helpful ways that Pelican works is that they utilize the Porsche part numbers. The Porsche PET Catalogs are easily accessed at Porsche.com, Classics. for reference. You can download the PDF version to have on your computer when you need it

Overly difficult to find the right parts from pelican for numerous cars over the years. Been shopping here for a long time. Hasn't improved much in 15 years...

Funny. I've never had any difficulty finding the parts I need online, I've never talked to Pelican on the phone. And I get ALL my parts here, as I don't even have a local dealer to try. (Not that most dealers know much about air-cooled cars these days.)

Have been a LOYAL customer of pelicans for 15 years. Have almost always had issues finding parts. There isn't much competition for air cooled parts. However they are really behind other online parts stores such as ecs.

This is the case for my BMW, and Audi with Pelican. Hard time finding parts that I easily found on other websites.

If you actually think their system works well you have your head in the sand.

If he hasn't figured it out after 15 years, the problem may not be with Pelican.

ECS can eff up an order just like anybody else and I have lived through two instances where I was embarrassed because of poor execution on their part.

That's two out of five purchases from them and it was BMW related. Not with my Passat or Turbo Beetle.

Now, they did make it right. So does that mean they suck? Hell no. I will buy from them again.

I offered you the Porsche diagrams for your two cars that would be in your inbox right now had you taken action.

However you simply laid down a couple of smarmy comments.

Are you finished now? That would be fair to the folks here. You made your point. Get on down the road. See ya.

In all fairness to the O.P., I *kind* of know what he means.

I've used Pelican for buying parts for my wife's Mini Cooper and, frankly, it IS hard to find some parts. Take the PDC, or parking distance control sensor, for example. I didn't know the part number so I searched for "pdc". I got a result for a mercedes benz part. Search "PDC sensor". I get a result for knock sensors. Search "parking sensor" and I got results for parking brake cables. Okay, search doesn't work without a P/N. Surely I can browse for it. So I browse Electrical, and would expect to find it under the Sensors category. Nope. I never did find it this way.

I finally found a website that has the OEM diagrams, similar to the PET we use for our P cars. From there I was able to get the part number. With the part number in hand the search was easy. But searching for a description on here is pretty useless.

OP, here are a couple direct links to various PETs - you didn't specify a year:
Here is '70-'73

Here is '74-'77

I picked these based on the dates in your signature.
