Engine number decode
I have searched a few resources to try to decode this motor serial number, but no luck. I would greatly appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction. The number is "6106197".
Thank you in advance, Matt |

Should be a 1970 911T. Is there also a type number? That would tell you for sure.

From your number, the engine looks to be for a US sportomatic, but the type number will confirm that if it is 911/08. Edit: use Joebob's picture to locate the type number.
