No Intercooler Installed operation
Will a 911 3.3L Turbo start without the intercooler installed?
If yes, is it ok to run the motor without the intercooler installed for testing? |

It should run but it'll have unfiltered air which could cause some issues pending on how long you run the motor. I'm not familiar with the specifics of the 3.3 but make sure all the vacuum lines are terminated and any sensors are still operating.

It won't run.
When the throttle opens it pulls air which opens the air meter plate which signals fuel to flow. With the intercooler removed you have a terminal air leak, the plate will not move and fuel will not flow. If you manually move the plate you could keep it running but I would not recommend that as there is no way to meter the fuel to match the throttle.
