Porsche Crest Horn button ring does not fit when spacer installed under prototipo

Hi !

Added a 30mm spacer under my freshly installed prototipo, unfortunately the spacer is just a bit too thick (too big inner diameter) and the momo horn button adapter ring does not fit anymore, so the hornbutton is loose now.

Do you guys have a solution for this? Any special compatible spacer recommendation? The holes were nice on this one because they passed through the spacer, so no misalign happend.

Thanks a lot!

I just had the same problem.

Momo do a kit to allow you to use the horn button with a spacer

They sent me one free.

Picture of the issue I had

Fitted and all working.
20mm spacer.
I used a self taping screw for the rear earth connection on the horn button

If I don't manage to get a proper setup on this prototipo I will really reconsider the older Ruf Atiwa steering wheel, as it was not that bad. And the positionning and grip was cool, just the looks a bit less outlaw than the Momo.

I searched a lot on the internet, also spacers that would be compatible. I found one that was nicely made, but there is no shipping to EU at normal costs...

I also Emailed Momo in italia but don't have much hop on this one.

I wrote to Momo UK and they basically said to me that they are sorry but there is no solution for not-momo spacers. I would have bought a spacer from them if it was long enough.

Now I am just thinking about mounting back my old Ruf steering wheel. I don't see the gauges that well even with the spacer so...

Momo UK says they don't know what I am talking about. Well, I guess I can forget my spacer and will probably have to buy a little momo spacer that shifts the steering wheel up. Hope it will get better for driving position/gauge sight.
