Can I drive my 3.2 with no idle microswitch?

1984 3.2. Stock. Microswitch has cracked. I know I will have a higher idle due to mapping. Timing advanced as well? Any issues with a 25 mile drive?

Thanks, Dave

I don't see any impact beyond the idle you mention as long as it failed 'open'.

I don't think 25 miles will do much harm, but I am sure greater minds will soon chime in.

After the things I have done to my 1984 over the past 15 years, I think it is safe to say that it is pretty hard to kill these cars, LOL.

There is no danger to the engine in any way, just maybe some annoying idle characteristics.
