Running Wiring from Engine to Frunk

Have an '82 911SC and I need to run some new wiring (Rostra Cruise Control) from the engine bay area to the area in the frunk where the OEM cruise module was mounted to access the module connector wiring, brake light switch wiring, etc.

Obviously, I can drop the wiring down and run it along the underside of the car, zip-tying to A/C hoses, etc., but I wondered if it could be run in a more protected location such as through the gearshift linkage tunnel? I don't know if there are interior bulkheads or seals in the tunnel that prevent this and also haven't looked where the linkage exits at the rear to see how tight or difficult that area is to access? I know there is a rather large opening in the tunnel at the forward end because I've worked on the cruise clutch switch before - wiring could come out there, then run under the dash and up to the frunk.

I suppose one could also drill a hole somewhere forward of the engine and run the wires across the floor under the carpet, but I'd obviously like avoid new holes if possible. Are there any grommets in the tiny footwell for the rear seat that wiring already passes through?

I don't suppose there's another route even better?

Might be able to squeeze a few wires through the grommet for the lambda controller wiring harness (located under the seat), through the tunnel, and then up with the through body harness to the dash and trunk.

Go thru the defrost wiring grommet on rear deck then down the side or center up the foot vent holes.
