How do I remove the Heater Control Servo - 86 930

I removed the 4 socket head cap screws and was able to lift the cover with control unit maybe 2" but not remove it because of the hand brake lever.

I see that there is an access panel on each side, but getting in there requires seat removal.

I need to replace the control cable and spent and hour (successfully) trying to weld it last night so I would have heat on the passenger side.

How the heck do I get this apart?

Do you have "pull" levers on each side of the heater control unit?

Or, do you have the Auto heat option?

Is it the control rod you are trying to replace?

pm me as needed.

If you have the autoheat option, you have to remove the access cover on the passenger side to remove the linkage arm, which frees the box from the car. To do this you need to remove the passenger seat.

You're Welcome. A Bentley manual covers the steps on doing this if memory serves. It's a pretty good investment if you don't already have one.
