Big port CIS limits? How much motor will it run?

Hot rodded cis, just an adjustable WUR, no lambda/emissions. Naturally aspirated, single plug distributor, MSD, 964 cams?. Looking for more displacement. SS 3.2 seems to be the common build. Can I go bigger, 3.4?? Hey carbs and efi are expensive, CIS is cheep simple and dependable. Tune it, lock it down and forget it, till you get a vac leak..lol

We rebuild the fuel distributor and turn up the flow for race cars, about 225HP on the engine with typical mods.

Hey Brian, I would be open to having the FD worked on. Are you saying 225 hp on a 3.0, stock bore and stroke? Just cams & such? Or bigger top end all together?

Power level is what the system has supported, there are many ways to get there. Your engine could be capable of creating more power than that.

To do a 3.4 you would want to use a 3.2 Carrera crank + 98mm p/c

Thanks guys! I read Fred Cook's 3.3 build thread last night. I guess if I wanted to get really wild I could do a 3.2 crank w/ the LN 100mm slip fits.. haha that'd prob be too much?
