Identifying trim

Hi all,

I've been looking through PET but am having trouble finding the name / reference to three pieces of black trim.

On my car, the front two have not been installed (they are on this photo), and the rear piece is not properly aligned.

Would you happen to know what they are called please? Am guessing there is a left hand/right hand part for each.

Secondly, the car pictured seems to have Porsche color shields on the 16" Fuchs whereas mine are black. Is this because I have a 1984, and this seems to be a G50 1988?

Mine has a black sticker between the door and rear wheel which I like. Were these optional?

Thanks!

P.S. This car seems to have the Targa roof nice and flat at the front. I wish mine was as good...

Those are Cowls: 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa - Bumpers, Doors, Latches & Lids - Page 10

Colored center wheel caps were an option or upgrade a customer could choose but OEM is black.

The stone guards are also an option, like the tail or rubber front chin.

Regarding your top, if the front lip of your top sits too high, it may be due to the wrong front seal PO placed as the proper one was not available back in the day. They are now available thru Dan at Carinc NJ.

DRACO - I don't think those are the ones he's looking for. 87-89 PET, under section 8 Main Body. Try 911 503 325 00 and 911 503 326 00 for the little ones in front, and 911 503 185 01 and 911 503 186 01 for the longer ones in the rear.

My baby
Thank you!

I'd seen those earlier, but they were called "scuttle seal" and I wasn't sure.

So you need 2x 4.3mm 901-503-394-22-OEM and 2x 6.5mm 911-799-503-07-OEM?

Or is 4x one of the size for the front, and the other is for the rear of the car?

What are views on the colored shield centers? I kind of like them black, but I guess that is familiarity. Are they an easy swap?

Ahh they are stone guard labels. Glad I have them then! I also have the wing and front chin.

Actually, I have Dan's blade front seal installed recently. I also had one of the catches replaced, but think it is now too tight at this side which has distorted the roof. But I think the roof badly needs a refurb...

P.S. wow, love you car! Immaculate.

Oh no, as JRSIII stated: you need 2 x 911-503-325-00-M350, 2 x 911 503 326 00, 1 x 911 503 185 01 and 911 503 186 01( the rears are a bit different )

The caps are personal choice. I like subtle and some like the purty colors

Roof is distorting because the windows need to be adjusted back to OEM spec. You see with the previous front seal, PO probably adjusted the window to sit higher to compensate for the thicker/taller seal.

Post a pic pf the distortion as not to make me a liar :-P

Great - I'll order them.

Should have a photo of roof in a week or so when I have the car back.

Thanks!
