Adding fuses to footwell blowers, where?

My 86 Cab (built 11/85) does not appear to be fused for the footwell blowers. Pulling # 2 fuse in the luggage compartment changes nothing. Pulling the fuse in the engine compartment removes power to both the engine blower and the footwell blowers ( the footwell blowers are depowered by depowering the relay?). Looking at the wiring diagrams at the back of the Bentley Manual shows shows the #2 fuse in the luggage compartment powering the footwell blowers via the Additional blower relay for 1984-1987.
The 1988-89 wiring diagram shows 10A fuses "downstream" of the additional blower relay, 87 terminal. Where is that relay and is that where others have added fuses? Picture?

Place it on the white/green wire. On that side it will isolate the motor from power in the event of an overload. The brown wire it the ground.

Thanks for the responses. I was hoping that there was a more accessible location that cutting into the blower motor leads in the footwells which was why I asked where the relay that powers the footwell blowers is located hoping that I could find a spade connection in the green/white wire. As an example the clean method of fusing the dash lights off the spade terminal on the light switch. Just looking for the cleanest way.

On a different note, I just finished removal of an old aftermarket alarm. I am not experiencing any gremlins from that effort!

Not sure if this is exactly what you are asking, but on my 88 the 10A fuses are inline and located in the footwells themselves. Plenty of room to tuck them in behind the cover panels.

I found your previous post on fuses and relays and am going down the same road.

When the wire comes off terminal 87, it is shown splitting off 3 ways from a weld joint. Putting it there would require cutting wires.
You could make an extension to the harness at the blower. I'm guessing the connectors at the blower are spades? Using separate insulated spade lugs and heat sharing the wires together. That is what I will probably do when I get a round tuit.

Do you happen to have a picture of how the fuses were added to the harness by Porsche? Did they just cut into the sheath containing the 2 wires and "splice in a fuseholder/fuse? I would like to add them to my 1986 as much as possible to the way that the factory did it. My 86 Cab is essentially stone stock and with exceptions like adding the fuses I intend to keep it very stock.

In the photo, the fuse itself has been removed from the housing.
I can post a better photo tomorrow evening.

Thanks for posting the photo, unless Porsche came up with a slicker addition of the fuses in 88 and 89 I will follow your example. I had considered using the 2.8mm male and female blade connectors by disconnecting at the 2 blade plug and installing the male/female blade connectors and the fuse between the factory connector and the motor. Possibly a be a bit over the top seeing that they will clearly be out of sight!
