What wheel are you running on your SC or pre-90 Carrera? Any spacers, rolling fenders, etc. required?

16X6 16X7 Fuchs. Would like to put the 7s up front and put 8s in the back, but it's a $ issue right now. Plus, I just replace 4 tires! ------------------ Josh '84 Carrera Coupe |

Lowered a little below euro height.
16 x 6 Fuchs on 205 x 16 x 50 AVS Intermediates, front; 16 x 7 Fuchs with inch spacer on 225 x 16 x 45 AVS Intermediates, rear; No rubbing. I don't want to go to 7" front and 8" rear because I don't want to slow the car down with extra drag and the traction is sufficient for street purposes. Looking for 17" to install larger brakes. ------------------ Paul 78SC Targa Pelican Parts Members Gallery [This message has been edited by pbs911 (edited 10-19-2001).] |

I have used the following on my 76 Carrera 3;
Car has always been at low European height, all the lips have been increasingly massaged/cut over the years. ------------------ Bill Verburg My Home Page ![]() ![]() [This message has been edited by Bill Verburg (edited 10-19-2001).] |

'78 SC Widebody.
Fender lips cut off rear. Front: Fuch 9x15 255/45 Yoko AVS Intermediates Rear: Fuch 12x15 345/35 Yoko AVS Intermediates Yes, there is a weight/drag penalty and no, I don't care. There just might be a slight traction advantage. HA! |

7" and 8 X 16 pimpin' gold BBS with 225/50 fwd and 245/45 aft. Minor fender rolling on the drivers side, and a slight modification to the oil cooler rock guard on the passenger side. No rubbing yet, but haven't bottomed out at full lock yet.

Front: Stock 6x16 with stock 205 R55. 3/8" spacers won't fit, perhaps 1/4" would
Rear: Stock 7x16 with stock 225 R50. 21mm spcers fit great and look nice - had to roll the left fender. If you can afford it, wider wheels on back are better than using spacers. I would like to use 7x17 on front with the 205s or 215s(they'd fit the tires better) and 8 or 9 x16 on back with perhaps 245s. If y0u can afford it, fill the wheel wells with wheel and tire, not spacers. ------------------ '83 SC |
