Painting is easy so I'd leave that up to the individual lunatic.

Perpetual Reassembler

If the sky was the limit I would make a CF and honeycomb composite tub. Since it would be stupid expensive I would design it in a modular way that would allow subcomponents to be replaceable. Went off the track tail first into a wall? No problem. Remove the visibly crunched tail portion and send the rest of the tub for an ultrasonic scan to check for hidden delaminations and such. Replace with a new tail section and reassemble. Painfully oversimplified but the sky is the limit.

the actual carbon fibers donot degrade they make epoxy with UV filters but it is weaker then normal epoxy and costs more and the filter effects also degrade over time so it just lasts longer before degrading paint is the long term solution |

Seriously though, what might be nice is the backdated heater bits to make 3.6 heater connections to our earlier cars without hoses everywhere. Chuck.H '89 TurboLookTarga, 427k miles |
