It is just a photo illusion. Here is another pic.

The MA Shaw piece actually has a very small vertical lip on the under side.
There is just enough material on the bottom of the bumper to add a OEM RUF lip or a piece of conveyor belt which all the factory RUF air dam is. But there isn't enough material to easily add the air dam with a hidden attachment. http://www.standingwave.org/albums/p.../afh.sized.jpg Top of the bumper is just flat and takes no smile. Not the best picture but the top of the bumper is pretty clean instalation. http://www.standingwave.org/albums/p.../aeu.sized.jpg |

I took the plunge! Front (w/ ducts) + rear, and front nerf bar.
I can't wait... Bye-bye bellows! Everyone's comments re Brad were true for me... good guy. Rgds, TT |
Can anyone post a picture of the nerf bars?
|
It was a busy few days, and I just realize last night that I had voice mail on my cell phone!
Well, Brad at BW called, and his voice mail said he would extend his Group price to this Friday, Oct 3rd. He ran out of stock on some of the recent orders and has to make more, so he will take orders now, and let you pay later (no later than the end of October..about when he'll have the part ready to ship). That's between you and Brad. I believe that was his message. In any case, just call him and he will work with you. I'm just a messenger, so don't ask me about how the payment thing will work..call Brad. |
Does Brad also carry the nerf bars for the front? Can anyone post a pic for me?
Thanks |
Yes.
Brad makes/carries the nerf bars. He made a front one for me. It's basically the bumper impact shocks cut and welded to some square steel bar stock. The tube end of the impact shock which has the threaded stud in it gets bolted back in place where it used to be. Nicely done bar and I believe it only weighs about 8lbs. If no one else posts one before this evening, i'll put up a picture tonight. |
Thanks Kevin SmileWavy

Here's a couple pictures of the front nerf bar:

Souk, when you started this thread, did you anticipate over 23,000 viewings, 390 replies and 20 pages?
"Let's make this a good thread" - got your wish! This BB amazes me. |

I just ordered mine yesterday. Front and Rear . Can someone please measure the open of the driving light hole and let me know what it is . I know it was cut for the carrera lights, but I don't own a pair and I want to order a set of Hella 450 or Hella 550 from our host. The 450 and the 550 are two different size housings and I want to buy the one that will fit. They are cheaper than the carrera lights.
Thanks Rick |
The openings on mine are 3 9/16 X 7 1/16". They're a little irregular, but 3 1/2 X 7 ought to fit.
|
Hella 450's are identical in size to the normal mid 80's Carrera fogs. 550's are a bit too large.

Well I started removing parts today for the Ruf CTR install. There is a rubberpiece of trim under the back reflector that is thick. did anyone remove it for a better fit? I bought the 930 rubber welting for the fenders & I have enough to replace the thick rubber also. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1065298845.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1065298863.jpg Craig
