Smitty, here are my new 8" fuchs and the new Black Int, I made out of perlon felt

Here she is .. ALMOST finished!! but not yet! I have gotten 8x16" fuchs for the rear and I have replaced the Camel Interior with Black which cost me a grand total of $14.00 Perlon felt . I cut it and glued it in .. I think It looks bad ass! It goes well with my 964 Euro RS seats.. I bought from Harald, which by the way fit like a GLOVE!!! am am saving now for a alloy roll bar and some RUF CTR yellowbird Bumpers and a pr of Magnesium Wheels and last but not least a VarioRam 3.6Ltr.
them maybe a paint job.. but I am in NO hurry to do that..I am also going to lower the car about another .5 of an inch with a tad more camber..
here are the pic's I said I'd post. HAHAH!

That looks great!

(Although that whole 'winter' thing you've got going in that part of the country really must suck.)

Eric, looks great! Are you going with the Perlon on the floors too? And what is the weight on the rear RS tail? I have been thinking of replacing my Carrera tail with the lighter RS tail but am really looking for a one piece tail/deck lid unit.

HAHAHA!
Thanks Jack,
Yeah It does SUCK! I hate it .. It's like 18 outside not pleasant at all.
I can't see why people pay in the hundreds of dollars for RS carpet sets when I have made mine for simply $14.00.. I could have placed some edging on it but i don't have a sewing machine.. but I like the solid look of all one piece in a way..
I am not 100% finished yet.. still working on the dash.. and a roll bar. that I want in alloy.. for stiffness and weight.

Paul,
I didn't weigh it but it is MUCH lighter than a OE Carrera Tail.
I have removed lot's of weight.. I will weigh the car as soon as the weather breaks a bit for me to get to the weigh station.
I am trying to get her as LIGHT as I can.. I have removed ALL the sound dampening and sound pads from back seats , inside of the doors and the rear motor bay as well as the floor boards.( the black stuff on the floor baords is a flat primer paint) the AC/HEATER are gone and a few other things.. plus speakers/ sterio. It also has Manual windows adn i am going to do Plex in the rear and rear qtr windows.. I should have her into the 2200 ish to 2300 lbs range in no time .. as I have yet to put the RUF CTR bumpers and sunroof delete panel in... I will have her SCREAMING!!!!! in time..

Eric,
Where did you buy the felt and how much did you buy? I have been to several fabric stores and one car place and can't seem to find it. Car looks great, can't wait to clean mine up a bit more inside. Thanks,
Brian

Eric, nice job on the interior and the rear wheels are a definate improvement! Your car may be low-budget but its got attitude in spades
About the seats, they look very narrow and cramped but I can get my 6 foot 220lb butt in them no problem. They made the co-piloting job much more secure than the original seats.
I cant wait for warm weather.......my performance upgrades for the winter so far have been to install a horn and replace the RH half-shaft I did get my Americans this week though. Call me when you get time tomorrow....

Thanks Guys.. It's been a project in the work for a while now as cash come up free I spend it.
Brian ,
I purchased 4 yards of it and it's about 4 ft across in width.. I had some left over.. but I bought just about the right anount for the job. I got it from a warehouse Co behind My place of work. I'll get the name of them for ya.

Adam,
The seats are GREAT! I have had them sine the early parts of last year, but just got them in recently, They weighed in at 13lbs each... on our loading dock shipping weight scale I know they were TONs lighter that the OE seats I removed.. I can't wait to weigh the car I know it is way DOWN in weight as I have removed just about everything, and replaced very, very little .. The car is faster than all of my friends 3.2 ltrs and very snappy with steering and throttle responce right now. I LOVE it
I have driven thier cars and they feel very HEAVY like bloated pigs.. HAHAH!
I highly recommend the seats to anyone.. I think jack has the has the RS replica seat.. some what the same but the backs are different than the seats I have. but for hte money you can't get a better track/ every day seat. I am sure Jack will agree. They fit like a glove. not for the bigger guys tho.. I am only about 165 lbs and 5'11". and they are great for my size.

Maybe Randy,
NO one ever sits in the rear seats tho .. not to mention the material is the same stuff the prefab'ed RS carpet sets are made of so I don't think the wear is going to be an issue. the only thing that will be touching is dust and the roll bar mounts.

Looking real sweet Eric, Nice to see a fellow buckeye braving the cold! My garage doesn't have heat, (well not instant heat there is a wood burning stove but it takes a while to warm it up!)

But my friend lets me keep my car in his heated garage (A good friend indeed!)

Man you make me wish I would have repainted my car Silver! but god it would have been a lot of work to completely change colors.

Can't wait until spring for the Ohio Pelicans to get together!
