Final Stages of Rebuild/Installation and have hit a snag...
I'm nearing the end of an extremely long rebuild to my 3.2L '87 911 Coupe and I've hit a snag with two items:
1) Clutch Slave Cylinder - In my haste to get the engine installed I missed putting the slave cylinder on to the transmission prior to mounting the engine. So as I was working above my head trying to get the slave cylinder installed I forced the "rod" through the side of the rubber boot and tore a hole in it. I've searched on Pelican and can't see that the boot is available as a standalone item so my question is do I have to replace the entire slave cylinder or can I get a replacement boot. 2) I have a hose that comes off of the recirculating air valve but for the life of me I can see where I need to attach on the other end. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Can't help with the hose but is there a part number on the rubber boot?

The small hose attaches to the front of the throttle body. It is supported by the hose support on the corner of the air cleaner box.

Just to clarify...regarding question 2...are you asking about the small rubber hose that is not yet connected to the valve or the braided hose shown? In either case, there is a schematic of the system in the Bentley manual page 100-4.

I looked for a part number but no luck. It looks like you have to buy the whole unit. Maybe someone else will chime in with what you need, Lots of luck.

I'd recommend just replacing the slave cyl - mine got to be quite stiff to operate, even with an intact boot.
check just underneath your deck lid for a decal for the hose location,

The braided tubing is the one I can't locate. I'm looking in the Bentley manual (100-4) but still can't locate where the tubing terminates.

The braided hose is vacuum. That valve is activated via a temperature switch on the back of the throttle body that opens the valve at a certain temperature. The switch is right under the big elbow above the throttle body. It's very difficult to see with engine in car but you can with a swiveling mirror on a stick, I could try to take a picture but can't post it until tues when I'm back in office,

Found the spot the braided tubing goes. Thanks all - now to sort out the slave cylinder!
