Thumbs down Rust, what´s that??

Hello,

I planned to have my 911 re-painted during the winter. But as looks now I have to order some wings and wheelhousings. What are the odds that right side has same rust damages as left side. The left is completely rusty, as some previous owner filled wheelhousing with building sealant. Well, let you know on monday. Sorry for poor picture quality.

You sure that there ain't same kind of rust on the other side, just well hidden under the "cement" and paint :P

I see you got the engine out the car, are u rebuilding it or do u plan putting in a bigger one?

If there is rust on one side, surely there will be rust on the other. Pull out the rear parcel shelf and the sound deadening and have a look all along the rear window, especially in the corners.

I was in my bodyshop yesterday, there was an '85 Carrera Targa in the corner, remember the fully galvanised one?

Rust

The original 2.7 engine is sold and I´m waiting for a 3.2, that will go in. I also have a set of big brakes to go on. It is fun to work with old cars, you never know what you will find behind next "bend".

But I´ve asked the guys at Mittelmotor in Germany to calculate the parts.
