The data in the CD-type disc decodes easily into ASCII computer text as follows, using 8 bit binary:
*
"Beware the bearers of FALSE gifts & their BROKEN PROMISES. Much PAIN but still time. (Damaged Word). There is GOOD out there. We OPpose DECEPTION. Conduit CLOSING (BELL SOUND)”
*
The damaged word would appear to be intended as “BELIEVE”.

Eric...you gotta get a wheel man. I used a Logitech (sp?) the other day. It had paddles for gear shift on the wheel and forced feedback. It was really precise.

I was playing on the Grand T game so no times to compare, but it was huge fun. Just wish I had my own. Great way to explore opposite lock driving and pedal manipulation.

Its come a long way since my NFS1 with a stock controller!

Has anyone played the WRC or WRCII? How does it compare to GTIII? I can't get enough with the rally mode in GTII.

The GT mod can be found at http://www.simmods.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=27&t=7254&st=0

But first u must have Electronic Arts F12002 installed after that you can install the mod. It contains 993 GT2,s 996 GT3,s and lots of other nice cars like the Lister Storm.

Cheers,

Ed

eric.......please realize i'm a product of the 80's and my "facination" with driving games all started with "pole position"
my freinds won't play 2-player gt3 with me anymore because it's no fun for them.....lol
i'm using the stock dual shock controler, but i have used a nice force feedback wheel and my times do improve with it.......i too am going to head to best buy to pick up a wheel today
i also have ea's f12001.....still need to pick up f12002, but my times on 2001 will make you wonder.........wicked fast. my roomate can't figure out how the hell i can run as fast as i do in that game
later

You guys gotta dump that fancypants CTR2 or RGT and race the Yellowbird CTR 964. Sure it's slower, but it's so much more difficult to race.

That car is a handfull on fast, long curves! Try loading a Yellowbird to the gills and racing it on Red Rock Valley (I think that's the name of the track). Those long fast turns have that car wagging it's tail like a hungry puppy.!

Laguna Seca is a tough track to tame with this car too.

My favorite car on GTII is the Nissan 300ZX-GTS. That car flat out rocks.

I have to chime in....GT II is easy compaired to Gotham Racing on the XBOX. I was able to get cash and cars at will on GT II...but this dam Gotham (or according to my 6 yr old... Got Ham) has me stuck on level 7 with my best car a damn Ricer Skyline! When I sau stuck...I mean I can't get within 5 sec of what's required!

bell, why dont you hook us up with your settings with the RGT, I just take the settings from the LeMans cars and try to apply them to the RUF. Do you have a wheel as well?

I have yet to have a "flawless" run, there is always something that I could do better on.

we dont have gt2, I have the original though.

here you go.......
the most important thing to change is the traction control/active stability, this is how i can get a bit of oversteer.
brakes are 11 front 9 rear
gearing is set to almost top out at the end of the front strait.

i just got home.........i was going to go buy a steering wheel setup but than kicked something in the road up and punctured my fuel talk so i just went and ordered a new tank
oh well....i still love the dual-shock
