Wow, incredible work. "It was a dark and stormy night", then the sun shined after about 40 hours of work. Or maybe I missed a zero on the hours!
Enjoyed watching your efforts very much!

A sand bag is a common tool used to shape metal as it conforms to the shape of the panel and also provides backing support when hammering. A leather lead shot bag is even better! I don't have either of those, but I do live near the beach, so I just took my metal to the sand and beat on it. I think in the video, I was making the inner skin for the longhood extension. I hammered in a strengthening rib which doubles as finger grab when lifting the hood. When there's a will there's a way! Not my quote but I use it all the time. BTW, hammering sheetmetal at the beach is both a great way to meet new friends or make enemies. Depends who you talk to.

Tom and his beautiful creation deserve all the attention they get. He seems like the perfect neighbor if I could so choose! We know he’s talented, smart, a skilled planner, and can hit some lofty goals in his somewhat compact 2 car garage. But he also comes across as a good dad and quite humble about his work. Tom, if I was your neighbor - you’d probably consider me as your stalker! I would be dropping in every time the garage lights turned on..! Great videos and love what you built here.

Your comment about being my neighbor is a sensitive one for me because of where I live. I'm always concerned about making too much noise or being the jerk on the block. So far my neighbors don't complain much, but you also see me working with my big garage door closed 99% of the time. I live in a very urban area with neighbors on 5 feet property lines all around me. I always joke, you DONT want to be my neighbor. This is why I didn't paint the entire car in my home garage. It just isn't safe for the neighbors. I also don't work after 9:30pm. Now that my car drives, the neighbors are asking a lot more questions! But all is good! My mission is to get more people out in the garage to do projects. For example, my kids aren't very interested in cars, but they help out when I ask them. Zach is into guitar, so we are building a telecaster from scratch! It's going well! My other son's eagle project was made in this same garage with his friends. The garage is an important place, second to maybe the kitchen table!
