Oil Temp sensor

I have problems with my oil temp system. The black and green wire is disconnected from the back of the gage, but there are no free terminals to connect it to. I assume that the gage is connected up wrong. Does anybody have any idea which terminal it should go to?
At the other end of the system I cannot locate the temp sensor fitting. I have an oil pressure sender behind the distributor with a single green wire which turns off the green idiot light when I disconnect it. Is this a dual purpose sender?

Any enlightenment will be appreciated.

Danke..........Ron

Porsche Crest

On my 69 I have a oil pressure switch & oil temp sender located right next to it. Not sure about the color of the wires on the dash gauge though.

You can see the green and black wire on the temp guage. You can also see the blue/yellow and also the brown earths.
