Engine rail

Looking to build a Mid engine rail using my Porsche 914 trans and Subaru 2.5 engine, the 914 is an IRS and all mid's that I have seen use swing axle.
Has anyone done this already? feedback would be appreciated.

Are you for real? Your activity looks a bit suspicious, just saying...

Not that many rails built here, but all 914s are mid-engine and all 914 suspensions are independent. No swing axles for us.

You can use the 914's semi-trailing arm setup if you like, or come up with something on your own.
