"Rust Not, Rust Converter" stuff

Started my annual battery tray sanding/painting thing this morning.
Came across this "rust converter"stuff at my flaps. Doesn't say what's in it-not that it'd matter since I barely passed hi-sch chemistry two lifetimes ago.
Anybody know if it is any good? It states that it " stops rust on contact and converts it to an iron-hard paintable surface."
In any event, Happy Holidays to all ! // econo

I've used some stuff call "Right Stuff" wich is supposedly similar to OSPORO. I think it's mostly phosphoric acid. a pretty thin green liquid. seems to do ok. turns rusty stuff black.

Most rust correction products contain Phosphoric acid. Does exactly what the label describes. You only need to remove scale so the acid reaches the base metal. The more work you do the better, it can't do it all by itself. If you do this every year as you say, I see good things happening here. Why not get an Optima or other sealed battery when the time comes?

I use a spray gun with my air compressor and spray the stuff inside my wheel wells, under the car and around the rockers. Time will tell if it works or not.

I read the thread about a week ago re: Optima batteries. I plan to buy one in the spring to get by this annual problem. Thanks.
