Slave replacement

About how much should a slave for a clutch run me at a shop? It's the cluctch to the floor problem. Bleeding didn't help and it doesn't seem to lose fluid? And also is there anything that really SHOULD be done at the same time? Thanks for the info guys

master and slave should be replaced together

figure about $150 in parts, about 1.5 - 2 hours labor to have it done.

Yep, replace both. They're both used together and wear at the same rate. If one goes bad the other isn't far behind. Get a pressure bleeder and do it once.

You sure? My car has an intermittant clutch to the floor problem that I've diagnosed as the slave cylinder. Thing is though that the slave and master cylinders were replaced less than 30,000 miles ago. I just can't imagine that they would wear out that fast, my guess was that the slave was defective. Still best to replace both? 30,000 miles on a master cylinder just makes it seem like a waste to replace it.
