Balance sahft axial end play 1/8". woodruff key doesn't sit properly.

Merry Xmas, guys.
Upper Balance shaft has an axial end play of about 1/8" and keyway is not fully "exposed" and woodruff key doesn't sit properly.
Is there any way to hold shaft from spinning and driving spacer sleeve in some more? Sprocket won't slide in, because of key sticking out too much.

Does “done” mean you’ve solved your problem?

Yes, I solved this "problem" - locked shaft and drove sleeve in to give enough room for woodruff key, the axial end play is minimal - about 1/16", now and key sits properly.

axial end play is less than 1/32" - there's barely any play.
shaft rotates normally without binding (rotated by hand).
