Engine block coolant drain

I have seen 2 pictures of it and descriptions and I look where it says and where the picture shows me and I just can't find it. Can someone tell me exactly where the block coolant drain is.

Thanks

The block coolant drain is located on the passenger side of the engine approximatly 1 to 2 inches above the joint between the pan and the block at the #4 cyl. It is a bolt that I think uses either a 13 mm or 15 mm socket.

The easiest way to drain the block is to remove the plastic adaptor on the water pump (ok, you will need a new o-ring) or if you have a late enough 944, disconnect the hose off the adaptor. This will drain the block, jack the back of the car up a bit to fully empty. This eliminates the "damm, the block threads are stripped" scenario.
