thanks for looking . My car still gets hot and im not sure why it runs fine but gets half way to the red is this normal it seems to stay at the half way mark when warm. I have new updated water pump, new stat, the fan comes on,it is bleed. Mabye the radiator is cloged but when i pulled the plug it seemed to come out fast and clean no gunk.

Just half way to the red? Start screaming when it touches the red and keeps going.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

i had that problem. but my radiator was about 75% clogged. it really scares you when you drive down the road and a separate guages that goes past 280 is pegged!

Asking if you should replace that timing belt is like asking if you should re-use a condom that may have in hole in it with a hooker.

Does it loose coolant? do the fans operate correctly? do you have the correct pressure cap? can you hear bubbling in the expansion tank? as long as everything works correctly, nothing is wrong.

The gauge is only a guide, not really to be trusted.

Yes, you could also install a seperate mechnical gauge.
Check the radiator and make sure it has even temperature all across the core.

I can see bubbling up in the expansion tank but it only does it if i pull the cap off .You think the head gasket is shot or what would this mean.

No it means you released the pressure in the system. Unless you do the diagnosis work this is all guessing.
