Hi Fellas,
Was doing a procedure for my website. (Gleaned from the workshop manual) for testing injectors. Well I got a prob. Firstly, I have no probs running or starting the car ! I can test for voltage as the manual says, but when I try and check for this "6 ohms" from the 5 pin plug of ballast resistors and terminal 2 of each fuel injector plug's I only see open circuit ! I've tried all combinations of pins, and I sometimes see 3.5ohms, but from the proper point I see "open" I've tested the resistance across the injector and get 2.5 ohms as correct. I've got 2 pictures uploaded, pls have a look and tell me if I'm being a div ! the links are www.playback.demon.co.uk/inject.jpg www.playback.demon.co.uk/inject1.jpg cheers Ade

I've always just tested them actoss the pins of the injector itself - about 2.5 ohms.
You can also test by putting a battery across the injector - you will need at least 1.5v (AA Battery) You can also use an 9V battery. Either should get the injector to trigger - you should hear a click. AFJuvat

I use a 9v just like the man says. (copied from his PP artical).
As I understand it, they either fire (working) or they dont (broke). If it is working you will hear the distinct click. Dont keep the electrical contact on the injector...they were designed to work in pulses.
