Just bought a nice '87 944 but 3 of the 4 phone dials are a bit scruffy. Soooo, I found 4 nice '86 phone dials on eBay from an '86 (I am current high bidder). Then a local PCA buddy says the offset is different for 86>87. Prime mission is cosmetics only and not keen on spacers. The car will be a daily driver/AX and DE car but I'm not into 2 sets of wheels...been there, done that with a 911 Carrera. (Thinking SO3s)
The question is what is the offset difference...anybody ? Thanks Ted in Fort lauderdale '87 944 Diamond Blue Metallic semi cherry Last edited by FlaCarrera; 11-14-2004 at 07:42 PM.. |

The 1986 has a 23.3mm offset
The 1987 has a 52.3mm offset (same offset for 15 and 16 inch wheels) AFJuvat

I have 3 rears and 1 front phone dials off an 87 944 turbo that I would part with if you are interested. I can take pictures and check sizes and part numbers if you are interested.

You can't fit the 86 phone dials on your 87 car. Unfortunately =(
Can go the other way around, so us early-offset guys have all the luck =)
