compression test results

so i'm still trouble shooting this slight miss that i have. i did another compression test again.

1- 180
2- 170
3- 174
4- 180

I know the closer the better, and i read that if theres a difference between 10% then it could indicate a leaky headgasket. does everybody agree these are decent #'s?

matt

Numbers look pretty good to me. Tonight I had a miss...turned out I forgot to put one of my plug wires back on after fixing a vacuum leak. DOH! can't always be that easy I know, but after the crap I have gone through for the last month getting things put together I think the good Lord knew I might snap big time if I had a legitimate miss LOL.

get the engine up to running temp. pull the dme/fuel pump relay. connect guage to each cylinder and crank about 5x's, sometimes 1 or two more.

Also, hold the throtte open when you crank so it gets a full cylinder of air molecules! Otherwise the numbers will not be right...
