No, the car is not running yet (sorry for taking so long to respond, havent been online in some time) I took some time off from working on the car, but I plan on giving tomorows time all to my car. I did get the bracket off by breaking it to have some room for the vice grips- bolt still stuck- loose- but still stuck. I plan on giving tommorows time to my car. Wake up early, try and drill that bolt out (90%+ finished) put car back together, if she starts. Order timing belt kit, maybee a HG kit, wash, wax, detail her, maybee take her for a long awaited short little spin.

TSN, she started running last weekend! At the time I posted this, I thought my starter was bad (and local parts store tetsed BAD) I purchased a used one (smaller- later style starter), and installed it, and kept my other one (older- bigger style starter which tested bad). I ordered new sensors, and put them in. I got a tach bounce finally, but only a few times 10%. Just out of my curiosity last week, I took both my starters and had them tested again. The small one tested bad- the starter gear was rusted up and wouldn't spin, some oil fixed it but havent tried to start the car with the small one yet, and the larger one tested good, which tested BAD 2 months ago. So the last 2 months I was trying to fix what wasnt really broken. Put the large starter back in, and got tach bounce. Screwed with the sensor clearance a little bit, and she fired right up!! Think my sensors were slightly off when I thought I had them at the correct clearance. Im so psyched, hopefully re-registerd, inspected and insured by next week. Thanks for the interest and the help.

Struggled with removal of the speed sensor this afternoon.
After reading this thread I was somewhat worried about a happy ending to my little project but a touch of WD-40 and she pulled right out! Whew............

No where near problematic as this thread would indicate but the information here was invaluable!

Hello All,

Reading this is like "pain and suffering". What is the "Third Sensor" in the bracket and where/what does it plug into? My car is not running, having to order the other 2 sensors. (Photo of unidentified sensor attached)

when the car does run, it's "closed loop" and very rich...

Any help is greatly appreciated...

Thanks!
