Car is 95% original, I managed to save most of the original paint, just painted the nose to take care of the stone chips.

Mechanically I removed the head, lapped the valves, replaced all the seals/gaskets. Replaced the timing belt and balance shaft belt along with all the front end seals which eliminated all the oil leaks. Then I cleaned, cleaned and cleaned some more:

Thanks for all the help from you fellow Pelicans and to Wayne and the guys at Pelican Parts for the good service and help! Also a big THANK YOU to John at A Part Above for all the bits and pieces he provided.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1244638861.jpg

My wheels are ROH Modenas: 245/35 on a 9x18 front, 295/30 on a 18x10.5 rear wheel. Forgot the offsets, but crazy: like 86mm front, 65mm rear or so.

They're three-piece made-to-order out of Australia: since sold: kinda wish I kept them, but replaced them with my black Fikse's on my 928-turbo

+1

Also I'd loose the steering wheel for a original Porsche one, the front window sticker, the fog lights, front license plate, exhaust, (its just a little rice ish), and the interior door handles and speaker covers painted back to black. (Of course this is my own taste) Other than that.... ha. But seriously your paint looks very clean and does your dash have no cracks!!!!? Wow. lol.

nynor 07-02-2009 04:14 AM

i like it just like it is. i have dash envy.

Go for it. My Eaton will be pushing about 11psi no problem. How much power are you making?

NinoTaormina 07-06-2009 12:56 PM

Mark, I was just scanning through some posts on the site when I came across this picture, and noticed it had an uncanny resemblance to what the 944 I purchased should would have looked like at one point. When I looked through your old posts I saw that after you had sold her, she was in an accident and was indeed the car I purchased. I thought you might perk up to know that during my free time (full time student) I've been putting life back into this baby, and she is now completed, aside from a few very minor things that I will finish up soon. I will post some before and after pictures when I get a chance.

Agreed! The car just looks so balanced, not too many add-ons, but just enough to make it stand out - :). What was used for that small front lip spoiler?

Yes I do live in MO and that is gateway, she ran high 14's. I want to find a schedule to run on a road course but the gateway website is not to informative

joshl1978 07-07-2009 11:40 PM

Thanks for the info, I have not had it dyno'd but cant be much more than 180hp. I would like to replace the injectors maybe upgrade fuel injectors it does have the fmu.

joshl1978 07-07-2009 11:44 PM

I have not had a dyno but i cant imagine its much more than about 180hp, keep in touch iwould like to pick your brain as far as the setup u have. thanks, josh

drift a 944 07-08-2009 03:51 PM

well, my setup is still in the final stages of being finished. However I'm predicting it will make about 215-220whp and 240 ft-lbs tq. on 11psi.
Do you have any under-hood pictures of your setup?

mitsumark 07-08-2009 05:28 PM

WOW--That is awesome..Im so happy to hear the car is road worthy again...It took me 4 years to get the car to where it was in the pics posted. It also has some mechanical goodies you might not be aware of.....If you need to know anything about the car,,please feel free to ask..Also,,please send me pics..Even if she's not done yet..Good luck with the car.It should run a long time..The kid I sold it to only had it 4 months before crashing it..I was anal with the maintanance...Here are a few more shots for good measure..
