well .... once again my saga of two steps forward and one back.

I know ... I know... this is how we noobs learn.

when trying to jack the engine so the drive shaft would go into the pilot bearing, laying there I realized I needed to get the TT flange and the mating surface on the bell housing perfectly parallel. slipped right in.

so proceeded to jack the tranny up into place, and got two bolts loosely into the TT bell housing.

the alignment of the bolts and the trans mount were a little off. installed a LR ultra mount. dang ... put it together backward.

so have to drop the tranny and the support member and fix that. I really need to get internet installed at the shop I rent. I had looked at the info on LR's sites. but the little machined area for the bolt head just looked so right to place the stock part.

will return to the fight this weekend.

PM him.
mine was rattle can black. Came with the car. I sanded, used a little filler in 1 or 2 placed, sanded, primed, and shot it with 3 coats or 1 full can of Rustoleum Bed Liner. It feels like skateboard grip tape.

I only have it mounted with 3 bolts on each side and 1 dead center up front. I'll be pulling it off to finish the bumper and get 4 more bolt holes set up along the front/center.

The past week has been crazy and this weekend will be as well. I have European 924 bumpers on the way from England. I've been finishing up the paint job on my 924 Turbo hood. I ordered new upholstery for the split rear seats I'm going to put in my car. I ordered a spare wheel for my BMW. Tonight I brought home my fifteenth car, eighth Porsche, second 924S. Tomorrow I'm picking up a 1983 944 parts car.

Definitely one of my strangest weeks.

09 cayman S with 35k miles.
Guy did a TPC turbo kit with a wicked coilover set up. Ended up wanting race seats to match.

Mechanical lift (up down)
Mechanical slide (front back)
Electric recline ( lean back lean forward)

got em for $600 cash 10 minutes from my house hahaha

Kirkey is out.

997 seat wiring figured out and OMFG I found the positive leads and ground leads for oem seat power. I didn't want to run direct to battery. My PO was a monster and cut the harness up a few times.(it's adhesive not rust)

Tomorrow I'll try and get the autopower harness bar out and get these seats ready to go in.

I lied.
Momentum be thy name.

It's all unbolted and loose. The psngr rear support needs some persuasion. It's got some oil soaking in. I'll hammer it off tomorrow, get the roll bar out and start putting things back together.

geno951, so you are reverting a car that was set up for DE/track to a street?

by getting my 951 and building for DE, retired my 85 911 from the track and have pulled the cage/seats and restored all the stock interior.

rechecked the transaxle bolts and started putting the exhaust back on.

got the down pipe, crossover pipe (2 piece LR moded), and WG back in. another good day or so will have this car back on the road.

It was a dedicated PCA F class racer down in NO,LA.

It'll return to being a hot street car that I'll do DE'S and maybe a track day or 2 each year.

Harnesses done, wrapped, covered up.

Seats are modified to accept. (They have extra wires for memory and driver seatbelt etc etc)

Today I drained my coolant so I can remove my heater core and rebuild the HVAC box

While I waited for the coolant to drain I did my 1000 mile new belt checkup/retension.

Once my HVAC box is done I'll be able to install my freshly recovered dash!!!!

Replaced my cracked ecode with one from Travis @ Rennbay. Also ordered a new turn signal assembly, mine is starting to get janky.

started doing the homework on installing a stereo controlling type 2 airbag steering wheel into the blue car, and improving the noise canceling on the microphone. the steering wheel should only be about $1500 all done and installed. not bad at all. can't figure why i waited this long. it has bugged me for a long time.
