The fastest I went was about 120 in my 944 down the Boeing highway in WA about 5 years ago. Someone in a early 911 passed me and kept on the gas, and I figured what the heck lets see how this car does. The car felt like it could have gone faster but only kept it at that speed, and I was amazed how smooth the ride was. I'm not a big fan of reaching those speeds on public roads and usually stay within speed limits.
