Spare tire tie down

I got a spare tire tie down for my 84 but I can't find anything to screw it into. I can't imagine Porsche would just leave the spare loose like that. Is there a bolt hole?

My 86 has a bracket on the inside rear panel that has two captive nuts the the spare tire tie down. One is for use the the collapsible spare and the other for a conventional tire. If you cannot find it I can take a photo.

Look carefully in the spare cubby hole.There should be a receiver were your tie down will screw in . Pics is of a my 968 spare cubby hole but 944 should be the same,the jack should be located behind the spare when you tie it down so it doesn't flop around.OEM tie down for a 84-944.
