When reading a post, it helps to read their whats in the users garage. When there are multiple # of vehicles, especially 944's, one would assume a hood strut Q would be rather elementary at this point.

If you are refering to me, please know (as mentioned above) it was all meant in good humor. More an attempt at soliciting funny stories from others and comiserating on th irony of 944 owners apparent penchant for putting them off in favor of far more intensive maintenance. Certainly not to ask for help on how to install 2 simple hood struts.

Or did you read it at all?

I'm with ya... Put off $30 worth of good struts for hundreds in other mechanical work...owell we are the b@$tard stepchildren anyways.

What's funny is you guys ordering hood struts.

My local corner auto parts store had them in stock and they have worked perfect for years.

Ditch, I get the humor and what you were doing. My response was an attempt for others to use deductive reasoning and their fact finding abilities to recognize tongue in cheek happenstances.
