Should I fix my broken brake booter check valve?
Today I accidentally broke the small vacuum line attachment on the brake booster. I assumed I needed to replace the part. Looking at the parts list it appears to be tied to the AC. I have stripped the AC from my car. Do I need to fix it? or just cover the hole with epoxy and go on. What do you think?

iirc it supplies a vacuum canister by the battery and that in turn controls ALL your heater/AC valves, vents and switches under the dash. If you don't have heat or AC I don't think it would matter.
Personally I would fix it, it's a cheap and easy swap. |

Fix it, as it operates other things besides the above. See diagram below.

I think that vacuum reservoir thing also is the only thing keeping your brake assist working if the car happens to stall out when moving.

If your car is early the fan controls aren't operated by vacuum as you can probably tell by how they feel. Mine snapped off on my early car and I deleted everything
