What else do I need from Roger?

I'm getting a new front spoiler for my US 83, but I can't remember what else I should be getting from Roger at the same time (not something spoiler related, I would remember that), but some odd bit that only Roger has?

I've already done the fuel and vacuum lines, have a silicone oil pan gasket, motor mounts, and most of the vacuum pods. Pretty sure I remembered something else this morning, but I forget what it was.

I was just loading my new set of Bilstein shocks into the hatch and bingo, hatch receiver insert.

Good guess MikeB (by naming everything, very tricky)

New Gates belts aren't ready yet are they?

Anything else?

Does Roger have some kind of new 16v cam tower gaskets or seals?

I thought I would toss out all I read...Not sure about the 16v stuff as I'm on the other side

I do know this...most stuff Roger comes out with I already picked up...which naturally costs more... just my luck!

Still have my sights on the steering rack bushings though.

So far

Front spoiler
Hatch receiver insert
Cam tower silicone gaskets

I thought about a steering rack rebuild kit, but what are these bushings? Rack to cross member?

Mike, yes...that is my understanding. Feedback is they are a substantial improvement over the oil soaked rubber pieces. i haven't priced out the OE parts but I'm guessing they're more than these.

I've got a set of aluminum ones on an 84 that really do take play out of the steering. Now is the time to do it if the rack is coming down. Easier to take the rack off completely to remove the old rubber / metal units.

Are there silicone cam cover gaskets?

If doing cam cover gaskets, then, you would want the cam shaft seals, nose O-rings, and little thick O-rings that mate the Mickey Mouse ears to the cam covers. And the distributor oil seal.

I ended up with;

Front spoiler, hatch receiver insert, set of silicone cam gaskets (nothing for main gasket, just the ends), and a steering rack seal kit.

I wish Roger had at least a new product display page.

Yes he has(had) them in black, grey & tan. He also has the VW connectors on pigtails.

I don't think so Leo, nice new spoiler, I'm taking it off when I drive to SD.

Do they have Bras for those Spoilers so you don't get any nicks in them while cruising on the Interstate 5?

Good luck finding a bra that will prevent "nicks" from the ladders, paint cans, buckets and humans one is likely to come across (run over) on the 5 between OC and SD.

I still plan to put on a baja plate, but that leaves the virgin spoiler out front to get spoiled.
