Blink code tester doesn't blink.

I have a blink code tester installed, but not sure if it is working correctly. LR says that if you disconnect the TPS and drive around the block, or run the engine at over 1500rpm for more than 30 seconds, it should blink a 4-1 code.

But all I get when I disconnect the TPS is a steady on light - no blinking. Might I have a bad KLR?

Your not shutting off the car correct? I doubt you have a bad KLR.

are you sure you connected it correctly? steady on usually means you plugged it into power+ground instead of test+ground.

Even if it goes out after I plug the TPS back in?
