60K Service Planning - Input Requested
My 993 past its 30K interval sometime in the middle of the season. So it's time for the annual track prep plus 60K service. I'm making a list of what I'm planning to replace, looking for any input of anything I'm missing (I'll run down the standard inspection list in the factory manual) or if anything is really excessive:
Service - Oil, filters x2 - Tranny Oil - Air filter - Spark Plugs - Fuel Filter - Belts (considering RS Pulley) - Rotors - Disty caps - disty belt? - Brake lines (SS) - Check/replace rotors, pads - Clutch master/slave (squeeky slave) Kinematic lever update? - Brake fluid - SAI Check valve Inspection - Power Steering belt check - CV Boots check - Steering rack/tie rods boot check Gotta get my Pelican order together...

Yup - when I'm under there I'll make sure it is present.
Need to do some searching on the RS pulley parts....

You should check your pollen filters, and replace if necessary.

I did my plugs at 50k just because I wanted to and couldn't stand the thought of them being 10 yrs. old. It wasn't that bad a job. Next job is plug wires and dizzy rebuild. There's a guy in Atlanta who will mail you a rebuilt dizzy for $150 and you send him yours when you get it out of the car. That's what I'm doing, as the tech article on the belt replacement looks like no fun at all. Since I stole a set of lifters for around $14 a piece, I'm thinking of just taking the car down for a few weekends and replacing them at the same time just for the hell of it. Surprisingly, my car has no leaks at all, so I don't think I'll do valve cover gaskets. My 60k should be coming up in a few mos., but I do everything early.

My car has no leaks either, so I'm guessing there is no real reason to replace the valve cover gaskets. Leave well enough alone.
I'm torn on the dizzy belt. Will probably leave well enough alone on that as well for now. Kang - I hear you on the pollen filters, but since the car is not a daily driver, I'll probably just bang the track dust out of them and re-use.
