Clutch slave install, what'd I do wrong?
Following the dyi's referenced in the "clutch noise" thread from a couple of days ago, the clutch felt really bad after installed a new part and a power bleed of 20psi.
Taking the slave cylinder off again, it came apart before it was even off the studs. Did I: use too much pressure on the bleeding; or not engage the cylinder arm into the clutch arm. I hope that I haven't lost any o rings or any else. I pulled the parts out but am not sure if this reusable, or what I did wrong. Stamped on old part FAG 30 54 S6567, new FTE 4 G 6567

Sounds like you didn't seat it into the lever. Did you grease the end of the plunger too?
As cheap as the part is, and as fun as it is to replace, I'd put a new one in.

Yup, did grease the end with Swepco but think it wasn't seated properly. I'll order another and try again, maybe with more dexterity. Is 20 psi OK on the power bleeding?

Should be fine AFIK, though I typically only go to 15.

Had to get my brother to help, but the clutch feels good now. Tomorrow a drive to really check it out.
Was able to install a new clutch slave cylinder by having him under the car lining up the cylinder and I used a long thin pipe through the wheel well, like a pry bar to help overcome the spring load. I now have one used and one extra slave cylinder to put back together. This might of been a bit above my current level. Am wanting to tackle the belts next. But need to drive it to charge the battery, etc. Hope to put on a few hundred miles tomorrow. He wanted to bleed it by just opening the valve while I depressed the clutch pedal. A few cycles and it seems to be working fine. I was able to perform the dyi's to replace the fuel filter, and installed a new paper filter. My air box is drilled and after the recent posts, wondering if I should (duct tape) close these holes back up.

Congrats. Consider re-bleeding it after a few weeks of use.
Belts are not that bad - except you need a 12 pt square drive pit. You are welcome to borrow mine if you don't have one. I also have a belt tension tool, but you can do just as well with your finger.

Hi Don,
I don't have a"12 pt square drive pit" and not exactly sure what type of tool it is. So I'll review the belt replacement Dyi next. Thanks. Leo
