Where is the rear spoiler control module located?
I am trying to get the rear spoiler up and operational on the 1990 c2 I just got. It had an RSA tail on it and now I am putting it back the way it was. The spoiler switch was removed but it appears the harness is in tact. Just cant be certain as to where the module is. Anyone have a good break down of the complete parts break down of the spoiler components all the way to switch?

The module is located under under the dash in the passenger footwell at least in my 91. For the parts I would use the Pelican Parts finder.

The module under the dash in the passenger footwell is the door lock module,
The spoiler control module in my car (production date 2/90) is under the passenger seat, as is the spoiler relay (96461814200) I would suggest that you replace the bearing in the transmission...I didnt catch mine in time and motor seized.. |

Yes I am talking about the bearing in the transmission, just a friendly tip, the OEM bearing is not sealed and gets corroded quickly, spoiler sounds like a coffee grinder...when you do find a transmission its an easy fix to replace the $4 bearing in it with a sealed bearing so you dont burn out the motor..when you do get one that is..

Try Blackbyrd on this forum...$500 isnt ridiculous...its disgusting..especially since Porsche built it to fail using a non sealed ball bearing..

On a '90, it's under the passenger seat, see pic below (the black box with black tape on it):
