2 questions I've been asked that I have no answer for

Hi,

Q1. Do you know if it has a crank and camshaft position sensors?
Q2. If so, how many teeth are on each?

Background info.

1992 german engine in a 1990 RHD 964 C2 manual coupe.

Questions asked by a MoTeC rep. that's suggesting a M800 ECU.

Thanks for your help,

John

There is a crank position sensor, some times called a flywheel speed sensor.Access is behind the drivers side rear tire. There are no teeth on the sensor. Perhaps you are referring to the flywheel teeth? The gap for the sensor is 1 MM.

There is an inductive flywheel sensor for speed and reference mark info that works w/ a 60 tooth ring bolted to the flywheel, 2 teeth are missing to provide the reference signal @84º BTDC

there is also a Hall sensor in the distributor that serves to identify cylinder #1 firing
